There are 117 orphanages operating in Liberia. The Minister of Health in Liberia has asked us to come and improve the conditions of the orphan homes she oversees. We have seen for ourselves that the conditions of the homes are deplorable. The minister said she would shut the homes down because the conditions are so poor - but she has nowhere better to send the children they house.
